My Journey Into Hair

I began my journey into the hair industry in 2014, enrolling in hair school with a passion for creativity, transformation, and connection. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the technical side of hair—understanding structure, formulation, and how small decisions can completely change an outcome.

Where It All Started: Barbering & Men’s Cuts

My first job in the industry was in barbering and men’s cutting, where I built a strong foundation in precision, structure, and attention to detail. Working in barbering taught me discipline, efficiency, and confidence behind the chair—skills that continue to influence my work today. This early experience helped shape my technical approach and sharpen my eye for balance and shape.

Discovering My Specialty: Blonding

In 2016, I discovered my true passion: blonding. I became fascinated by the chemistry behind lightening hair, understanding undertones, and creating custom blondes that suited each individual client. What started as curiosity quickly became a specialty, and I immersed myself in education, practice, and refinement to master the art of blonding safely and effectively.

Becoming Known for Colour Corrections

As my career progressed, colour corrections naturally became what I was known for. Clients began seeking me out for complex, challenging transformations—fixing banding, brassiness, box dye, bleach damage, and previous salon mishaps. I found purpose in problem-solving and restoring not just hair, but confidence. Colour corrections became more than a service; they became my signature.

Opening BOBBY Hair Studio

In 2019, I took a major leap and opened BOBBY Hair Studio. Creating my own space allowed me to fully align my values, creativity, and client experience under one roof. The studio was built on the belief that hair should be approached with honesty, education, and care—both for the client and the stylist. It became a place where transformation, trust, and technique come together.

The Beginning of My YouTube Journey

Also in 2019, I began sharing my work online through YouTube. What started as a creative outlet quickly evolved into a platform for education, transparency, and storytelling. Through tutorials, colour corrections, and behind-the-scenes moments, I aim to educate both clients and professionals while showing the real, unfiltered side of the hair industry.

A Vision for Hair Education

My ultimate goal is to become a household name in hair education. I believe education should be accessible, honest, and empowering—not gatekept. Through digital content, tutorials, and real-life experiences, I strive to help stylists grow their confidence, expand their skills, and feel supported at every stage of their career.
